NORWELL VNA ANNOUNCES
NINTH ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Join friends on the green at Cohasset Golf Club in support of the Norwell VNA!

NORWELL, MA (June 25, 2007) – The Norwell Visiting Nurse Association’s (VNA) Ninth Annual Charity Golf Tournament is set for Monday, July 30th at the Cohasset Golf Club, located on Lamberts Lane in Cohasset, Mass. A rain date is set for Monday, August 20th. This event, which takes place on a beautiful, private Donald Ross-style course, is the Norwell VNA’s biggest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds benefit the association in its ongoing efforts to provide low cost, quality healthcare to South Shore residents.

Registration for the Golf Tournament will take place at 11:00 a.m., with a shotgun start at noon. Tickets for the tournament are $185 per person and include lunch, unlimited use of the practice range and putting area, along with a sit-down dinner prepared by an award-winning chef. Separate, dinner-only reservations are available for $50 per person. The event will also include a raffle and silent auction, featuring a variety of exciting prizes.

Sponsorship options available at the tournament include a Platinum Sponsorship for $10,000, a Gold Sponsorship for $5,000, a Silver Sponsorship for $2,500 and a Bronze Sponsorship for $1,500. Hole Sponsorship, Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive Contests are also available for $250 and a Small Business Sponsorship is available for $100. Awards for contests holes and winning foursomes will be distributed during dinner. 

Additionally, everyone who participates in the Charity Golf Tournament will have a “shot” to win a brand new car! The lucky golfer who sinks a hole-in-one at a predetermined Par 3 hole during the tournament will “score” his/her chance to “drive” home in style.

“The funds raised at our Golf Tournament contribute to the Norwell VNA’s progress throughout the year,” said Norwell VNA Executive Director Meg Doherty. “We look forward to building on the success of past tournaments and making this year’s event even more exciting!”

“The Norwell VNA Golf Tournament is a wonderful opportunity for the community to give back to an organization that has touched so many lives on the South Shore,” said Jeanne Carey, Development Director at the Norwell VNA. “This year’s golf tournament will be chaired by a longtime friend of the organization, Thomas Williams, Esq. We are fortunate to have a dedicated and energetic group of committee members planning this year’s tournament.”
