NORWELL VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION TO OFFER
TWO FLU VACCINE CLINICS FOR NORWELL RESIDENTS IN NOVEMBER
Free clinics to be held at Norwell Town Hall
NORWELL, MA (October 23, 2007) – The Norwell Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), in conjunction with the Norwell Board of Health, will offer two flu vaccine clinics in November, at no charge, for Norwell residents over the age of 18. The clinics will be held on Saturday, November 3rdfrom 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. andThursday, November 8th from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. The clinics will take place at the Norwell Town Hall, located at 345 Main Street. No appointment is necessary, though proof of Norwell residency will be required. Those attending the clinics should wear loose short-sleeved shirts to allow for easy administration of the vaccine.
Flu activity in the United States generally peaks between late January and March. The agency is urging people to be vaccinated against the virus before peak flu season begins.
“Receiving your flu vaccination now will ensure you will be prepared for the upcoming season,” said Sheila DeWolfe, Director of Private Care Services at the Norwell VNA. “A flu vaccine is the best safeguard against the flu and its complications.”
