JACKIE CROSSEN-SILLS TO THE POSITION OF PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT MANAGER


14-year Norwell VNA veteran takes on new role

January 17, 2007 (NORWELL, MA) – Meg Doherty, Executive Director of the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), is pleased to announce that Jackie Crossen-Sills, PT, PhD, has been promoted to the position of Program Development Manager. Her new responsibilities include researching, developing and assisting with the implementation of programs that enhance the Norwell VNA’s academic, business and community services, as well as researching, identifying and writing applications for grants which support various Norwell VNA programs.

Crossen-Sills joined the Norwell VNA 14 years ago as a part-time Physical Therapist. She most recently held the position of Staff Educator in the Performance Improvement Department where she was responsible for staff training, orientation, grant writing and developing the agency in-service calendar.

“I’m excited to begin this new position, and look forward to take this next step in my career at the Norwell VNA” said Crossen-Sills. “The Norwell VNA has a strong commitment to its employees, patients and community; I am thrilled to have received this opportunity to advance within our organization.”

“Jackie’s experience with grant writing and her knowledge of our community and academic programs make her an invaluable asset to our team,” said Doherty. “We are delighted that she is taking on this important role within the Norwell VNA.”

Crossen-Sills holds a degree in Physical Therapy from New York University in New York, N.Y., a MS in Neurology from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., as well as PhD from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Fla. She lives in Norwell with her husband Phil, and is the proud mother of twin sons, Michael and Christopher, who will be graduating from Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y. and University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H. this spring.

The Norwell Visiting Nurse Association, located in Norwell, provides nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutritional counseling, home health aides/homemakers and a variety of support services and programs to patients of all ages and for all needs. The Norwell VNA has been serving the community since 1920 providing services to residents in Norwell, Scituate, Abington, Braintree, Cohasset, Duxbury, Hanover, Hanson, Hingham, Holbrook, Hull, Kingston, Marshfield, Pembroke, Quincy, Rockland Weymouth and Whitman.
