NVNA and Hospice is a non-profit agency that provides home health care to over 27 communities on the South Shore using the latest in documentation technology.  Our team is committed to the Agency’s mission of delivering quality home health, hospice, wellness and public health services to patient on a one-to-one basis.

Interview Process
NVNA and Hospice uses a committee approach to review resumes and seek out the most qualified and best suited candidates for our employment opportunities.  Resumes are confidentially reviewed by employees who have been trained in the interviewing and hiring process.  Candidates who meet the qualifications of a position are then interviewed by members of this committee.  Our interview process creates an open discussion atmosphere for all participants.  Applicants are encouraged to share detailed information from past work and volunteer-related situations in order to show their skills, talents and accomplishments.

Benefit Summary - 2013

 

Health Insurance - Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare HMO 

Participation requires benefit eligible status and a minimum of 30 hours per week.  Individual, Individual +1, and Family plans are available.

 

Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan – Express Benefits

Employees who participate in the health plan are eligible for 75% reimbursement for inpatient and outpatient co-pays one time per year per covered individual.

                           

Dental Insurance – Principal Financial Group

Participation requires benefit eligible status and a minimum of 20 hours per week.  Individual, Individual +1, and Family plans are available.  Choice of $1000 or $1500 annual calendar max.

 

125 Flex Spending Plan – Crosby Benefit Services

Medical Reimbursement:  $2500 max per year             Dependent Day Care:  $5000 max per year

 

Life, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurances – Lincoln Financial

Provided free to employees who meet eligibility criteria. 

 

Life Insurance: 1x annual salary

Short-Term Disability: 7 day waiting period then 66-2/3% average weekly gross salary

Long-Term Disability:  After short-term is exhausted, pays 60% average monthly to a $4,000 max.

 

Earned Time Program

Combines vacation, holiday, personal and sick time into one bank.  Accrual starts at eligibility and rates are based on hours worked and years of service. ET is available for use after 90 day introductory period.

 

401(k) Retirement/Pension Plan – John Hancock

All employees age 21+ are eligible.  Up to 6% match annually.  100% vested after 3 years of service.

 

Educational Assistance

Up to $2000 per year for benefit eligible staff depending upon hours worked.
