Ball Drop:
1,000 golf balls will be sold for the price of $20 each or 6 for $100 (US) at our office or by phone. All golf ball purchases are final and non-refundable. The specific numbers of the golf balls purchased for the Ball Drop will be generated at the time of the sale and a raffle receipt will be presented or sent via mail to the purchaser-provided address.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of balls I can buy?
A: No. You can purchase as many balls as you would like! Remember, the proceeds are going to a great cause!
Q: What about taxes and IRS rules?
A: The winner shall be responsible for any and all federal, state and local income taxes, and like charges associated with the prize
Q: Is my ball purchase tax deductible?
A: The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution, though it may be deductible under other sections of the Internal Revenue Code. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply
Q: How will I be notified if I win?
A: The winner of the prize will be notified by telephone and/or email. The Winner need not be present to win. The Winner will be posted on www.nvna.org within the week following the tournament date.
