Be a part of something meaningful and important! There are many ways YOU can help the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association (NVNA) and Hospice further its mission of providing quality home health care, wellness and public services in the community. The support of our friends and neighbors has been the single most important factor in our continued success. Whether you choose to donate your time, services, or money, your generosity will help us continue to care for people right here in our own community, perhaps even a family member.
Tee up as a Golf Tournament Volunteer where we can always use helping hands during the tournament or after during our auction and dinner. Scheduled in July, this is a fun event to participate in as a volunteer and no golfing experience necessary!
Like to garden? Our gardens at our hospice residence in Hingham are always prime for some extra care and some are being restored so there are many opportunities to invest your creativity and green thumbs!
Want to join our events planning committee? Always looking to do new events we love new ideas and new faces to join us in the planning stages.
Become a Hospice Volunteer. Opportunities exist for both patient volunteers and administrative volunteers. Administrative volunteers assist with clerical duties in the NVNA and Hospice offices related to the hospice program.
Hospice Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Patient/Family visits
- Assisting patients and their families with errands and housekeeping
- Providing bereavement or spiritual care and support
- Special projects
- General office support
