Gayle Burns, LPN Norwell VNA Gayle Burns was first introduced to the Norwell VNA when her grandmother, a longtime Hingham resident, needed assistance in maintaining her independence. Thanks to the care she received from the Norwell VNA, Gayle’s grandmother was able to continue living at home, on her own, longer than her family and doctors anticipated. Gayle joined the staff of the Norwell VNA in January 2007. Prior to joining the Norwell VNA, she worked as an LPN in the Internal Medicine and Pediatric departments at South Shore Medical Center. Switching from a hospital setting to a home care system has been a positive experience for Gayle. As a visiting nurse, she is able to put her nursing skills to use, while interacting more closely with her patients. Gayle is thrilled to provide the care needed to allow her patients to remain at home longer, just as her own grandmother did. Gayle received her LPN certificate from Blue Hills Technical School in Canton, Mass. Gayle is currently preparing to enter the Registered Nurse (RN) program at Massasoit Community College.
