In addition to all the services one would receive from hospice when living in one’s own home, hospice residence patients receive:

Hospice Services Provided

  • Round-the-clock care as needed

  • Assistance with personal care from home health aides

  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

  • Housekeeping and laundry service

  • Visits from the hospice team, including physician, registered nurse, social worker, chaplain, bereavement counselor, and volunteers as needed and desired

How Is Residential Care Paid?

Room and board fees are paid by the patient and/or family. Medicare and Medicaid do not cover residence room and board. However, some private insurers and long-term care providers may. Medical insurers such as Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans do cover the cost of the hospice care, medications and medical equipment provided at the hospice home residence, just as it would be covered in one’s own home.

We operate and maintain the Pat Roche Hospice Home as part of our charitable mission. We rely on charitable generosity and are so grateful to the donors who make this community resource possible.
